From the conference description: **The Unmarked State Laws of Form 50th anniversary conference** is a celebratory cross-disciplinary gathering which will be of interest to mathematicians, philosophers, sociologists, cyberneticists, designers, and all those interested in how to create a world from nothing.

Software designers and programmers specialize in construction from nothing. My contribution to the conference describes the work that Dick Shoup, Jeffrey James and I did over fifteen years between 1981 and 2006 to implement the algebra of Laws of Form, both in software and in hardware.
