Laws of Form

Spencer Brown’s seminal 1969 book, Laws of Form, introduced the iconic structure of logic in an algebraic format. This book clarified and broadened Charles Saunders Peirce original circa 1900 conceptualization of iconic logic that Peirce called Existential Graphs. The Image shows Spencer Brown’s representation of the logical relation of equivalence.
